Job Title: NSTX-U Recovery Project Construction Coordinator
Work Location: onsite five (5) days per week, at Princeton University, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL)
Job Description:
As Project Construction Coordinator this individual will work directly with the Associate Project Manager, Field Engineers, and support organizations in coordinating multiple construction, engineering, and onsite fabrication activities in support of the successful reassembly of the NSTX-U machine.
CORE DUTIES:

Reporting to the Associate Project Manager, works directly with the Field Engineers and Lead Technicians (“project team”) and support organizations to facilitate a safely-executed and well-planned project.

Assist project team in review and approval of work documents required for work execution.

Collaborate with the project team ensure adequate inventories of tools and materials to support the scheduled work activities.

Provides liaison between project team and PPPL fabrication services to ensure timely availability of PPPL-fabricated machine components, tools and fixtures.

Provide and assist project team in conducting effective, well-organized plan-of-the-day and shift turn-over meetings.

Collaborate with project team and support organizations to identify resource and schedule issues in advance.

Collaborates with project team and Title III support organization to ensure timely resolution of design changes via PPPL’s Engineering Change Notice and Non-Conformance Report processes.

Assist project team close out completed work packages.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:

High school, or GED equivalent is required. Associates degree preferred.

10 years + experience in construction, operations, maintenance, outages at commercial nuclear power plants or Department of Energy national laboratories.

10 years + as shift manager/construction coordinator (preferred) .

Ability to communicate with supervisor, co-workers and front-line workers

Strong inter-personal skills in working with multi-trade workforce such as electricians, riggers, and heavy machine operators

Must be able to perform physically demanding work without medical restrictions

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds

Work will be near static magnetic fields

Capable of climbing ladders and working at heights from scaffolding, platforms and powered aerial lifts without medical restrictions
